About ApricotKing

Since 1946, the Gonzales family has grown the rare and fabulous California Blenheim apricots. Grown on our Hollister ranch, we continue to be the farmer, pruner, dryer, packer, and seller of the vanishing Blenheim apricot. We produce the best tasting apricots in the world all "Home Grown in the Flavor Zone"!

In addition to our incredible dried apricots, be sure to discover our variety of nuts (walnuts, pistachios, almonds) and other dried fruits (peaches, pears, prunes, and more). For those who believe less is more, we have dark and delicious unsulfured dried apricots. And don't forget our sweet and tart selection of apricot jams and syrups as well as our decadent chocolate covered fruits and nuts.  Simply delicious! Everything here on the ranch is organically grown.

Enjoy!

Patti and Gary Gonzales, Hollister, CA

SlipPits (Gourmet 14 oz)

New 2024 crop

Not every apricot can grow up to be a SLIPPIT.

You must  be extra-large, plump, flawless, and ripe.

We save the best Blenheims of the day for slippits............the Cadillac of our Line.

These luscious slippits are dried whole in the sun.

After 3-4 days, the pit is gently slipped out.

That little bit of extra roasted-in-pit time, gives the slippies an extra pizzaz and unique flavor.

We run short of these every year......

Hollister  suffered with 100 degree tempertures during our short harvest......we could not make

many slippits. The heat turned the fruit into mush.....we are sure to run out by the Holidays.

    Fresh and yummy!

  2. WOW!!

Amazing! Incredible flavor and texture. There's nothing else like these. Give them a try. You'll be glad you did!

  3. What Every Apricot Aspires to Be

Posted by Jill on Sep 18th 2023

slip pits are what all apricots want to be when they grow up: plump, orange and delicious

  4. Simply the BEST apricots!

Posted by Paul on Sep 17th 2023

These are without any doubt, the BEST Blenheim apricots available from ANYWHERE. The quality is unsurpassed, and the flavor is unbelievable! No sulfur taste. Minimal use of sulfur dioxide to retain color, texture and flavor. The only better way to enjoy Blenheim apricots would be to pick them fresh off the tree at the peak of ripeness.

  5. My Christmas present to myself

Posted by Elizabeth on Sep 11th 2023

I am a mom and therefore I buy most of the presents for the family. I want presents too! This is the only present that I buy for myself every year. I share my other apricots that are also delicious, but the Slip Pits are all for me!

  6. Best dried cots!

Posted by Gayle on Sep 10th 2023

Slip-pits have that unique apricot taste, and are soft and tender.
Slabs are great with slightly stronger taste and more sweetness.
Best dried cots I've ever tasted.

  7. slippits

    one word. DELICIOUS

  8. Slip these into your order!

Posted by Erica Mueller on Sep 7th 2023

Slippit Blenheims are pricey but worth it. Despite horrible summer weather, this year's apricots are moist and quite large. The only way they could be better is if the pits were not removed. Leaving them in during drying imparts a hint of amaretto or almond extract flavor.

  9. GREAT!

Posted by Mark on Sep 7th 2023

JUST THE BEST YOU CAN FIND
